Description
Girard Perregaux knows chronographs! This 18k white gold, rectangular case chronograph is an hommage to a Ferrari 375 Mille Miglia -- a legendary and very rare Ferrari from 1954. In the spirit of rarity, Girard Perregaux limited production of this single button chronograph to just 375 pieces.
Case is 18k white gold with dimensions of 36mm long by 31mm wide by 10mm thick. (Case is 47.5mm long if the lugs are included). Case is ergonomically curved for comfort. The case is polished on the top vertical surfaces, and brushed everywhere else. Sapphire crystal. The single button to operate the chronograph is set inside the winding crown.
Dial is brushed grey, with rectangular black subdials. Left side subdial is constant seconds and the right side subdial is a 30 minute chronograph counter.
Movement is manual winding Girard Perregaux caliber with 21 jewels, beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour and hand adjusted for rate and position. Significantly, this caliber features column wheel and single button construction, a prestigious and costly chronograph design which is offered by no other modern manufacturer.
Strap is black hand sewn crocodile with 18k white gold GP deployant clasp.
Watch is brand new with box and papers. Retail price is $26,500.
