Description
Here is a special vintage Patek Philippe Calatrava - the reference 3561 - from 1968. The 3561 has a factory sapphire display back, which makes it the only vintage Patek with a display back. The Caliber 27-460 automatic movement is double stamped with the Geneva Seal! Only 100 reference 3561s were ever made... and they rarely appear in the market.
Case is 18k yellow gold with dimensions of 34mm diameter by 10.5mm thick. The caseback is interesting not only because of the factory sapphire display crystal, but also because it is a screwed back and quite massive. Domed sapphire crystal in front. Crown is signed with the Calatava Cross.
Movement is, as mentioned, automatic and double stamped with the Geneva Seal! The caliber has 37 jewels and is adjusted for temperature, isochronism and in 5 positions.
Dial is silver with applied golden hour markers and slender baton hands. The dial finish is brushed.
Buckle is the original Patek tang buckle in 18k yellow gold.
