Description

Here is a pre-Vendome Panerai Luminor Marina with black PVD case in extremely clean and mint condition. Because the screws that hold the strap bars are easily removable, and collectors love putting their Panerais on a multitude of straps, around the screw holes is where many Panerai watch cases have a lot of scratches. Add to that problem that PVD is practically impossible to restore once it has been scratched. The great news is that this case and its PVD finish are 99.9% perfect; even around the screw holes is perfectly clean... a genuinely remarkable thing. The original owner of this watch obviously never subjected it to any significant wear.

What is even better news is that this vintage Panerai has its original mahogany box and its original instruction booklet and warranty form.

Case is 44mm square, with a cushion shape, with thick sapphire crystal. The main case is PVD treated titanium, which imparts the black finish. The caseback is stainless steel. The crown locking mechanism is functioning perfectly. Water resistant to 300 meters. This is watch number 0186.

Original dial is black with tritium coated numbers, hour markers and original hands.

Original strap with original PVD treated titanium Panerai buckle.

Movement is the Panerai manual winding Caliber 16 with 17 jewels.
