Description
Now this is one big hunk of burning 18k chronograph love! Cowabunga - gorgeous and massive watch case at 44mm diameter by 17mm thick. Unidirectional bezel with 60 minute scale and tabs at the 15 minute positions. Slightly domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Even a huge 18k Breitling deployant clasp. Breitling uses a dark yellow gold, which blurs the line between yellow and pink gold.
Dial is black with applied golden hour markers, sunken subdials with 30 minute and 12 hour chronograph totalizer subdials, blued hands in all subdials, techymetre scale along the flange and an oversized date display.
Movement is the Breitling automatic chronograph Caliber 13 with 38 jewels and beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. This caliber has the ETA Caliber 2892 as its ebauche. This is ETA's highest quality version of the already superb 2892. Breitling got this caliber tested and it has received the C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer certification. Case is water resistant to 100 meters.
Breitling discontinued this model in 2005. This watch is new old stock and will be delivered with its box. US Retail is $22,325.
