Description
I like Panerai watches. I really, really like this Radiomir reference PAM231. It's a limited edition of 1000 pieces and this is an "I" series. A casual observer of our auctions knows that I love rose gold watches with black dials. So, this Panerai floats my boat, as I am sure it does for many other boats too.
Solid 18k rose gold cushion shaped case measures 45mm in width by 13.5mm thick. Domed sapphire crystal in front and flat sapphire display back crystal. Water resistant to 100 meters. Wire style lugs reminiscent of the first wristwatches, which were converted pocket watches with lugs to hold the straps soldered on.
Dial is black "sandwich" style, meaning the black surface is laid atop a luminous base. Thick gold baton hands with luminous.
Movement is the manual winding Panerai Caliber OP X with 17 jewels which is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Gorgeous medium brown leather strap with exposed stitching and 18k rose gold Panerai deployant clasp.
