The T3 was produced in 1000 pieces, which includes both the white and black dials. This watch is new with box, papers and even the Terminator videos that came delivered with the watch.

Description
Some watches become legends as soon as they are introduced. So it was with the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak T3, whose mammoth 48mm wide case (57mm including the crown guard) made it an instant smash success with collectors. The Royal Oak started out in 1972 as a 36mm watch, considered a large sports watch at the time. Next came the 40mm chrono, followed by increasingly larger "Offshore" models. Sizewise, I am sure that the T3 will be the last word in size for the Royal Oak model family. It makes quite a statement: the ultimate monster watch from the elite ateliers of Audemars Piguet.
Thankfully, the watch designers at AP decided to make the case in titanium. Imagine this watch in steel (or platinum??). If anyone from AP is reading this, if you need an idea for another hit special edition -- there you go: a T3 in platinum! This case measures 61mm in overall length by close to 16mm thick. Sapphire crystal. The winding crown and chronograph pushers are protected by lock-down clamps. Water resistant to 100 meters. The caseback has a very cool "T3" engraving.
The dial on the T3 is a full 36mm in diameter including the flange. Color is black, with oversized Clous de Paris pattern and luminous numerals and hands.
Movement is automatic winding AP Caliber 2226 with 12 hour chronograph.
Strap is a specially treated alligator sports strap which is fitted with an AP titanium buckle. |
