Description
Here is a really beautiful watch from one of Switzerland's top watch manufacturers. Blancpain is a favorite of watch cognoscenti, and with good reason. They use movements made exclusively for them by F. Piguet and their watch cases are an exercise in design and execution perfection.
Case is solid 18k red gold with 33mm diameter by 12mm thick. Domed sapphire crystal. Screw down, solid 18k gold, winding crown with low profile protective flank. Stepped bezel. Massive screw down caseback, which provides water resistance to 100 meters.
Movement is the automatic winding Blancpain Caliber 6763 with 30 jewels. Again, Blancpain's movements are of superior quality.
Dial is mother of pearl with a combination of roman numerals and diamond hour markers. Apertures below 12 o'clock display day and month; date is indicated by the red arrow tipped hand along the peripheral date scale; moonphase and seconds are at the 6 o'clock position.
