Description
The Ballon Bleu is Cartier’s latest slam-dunk style, and this is the extra-large men’s size at 42mm diameter, in solid 18k rose gold on 18k rose gold bracelet. Of course, this watch also looks great on a lady’s wrist.
Case is solid 18k rose gold with dimensions of 42mm diameter by 10.5mm thick. Domed sapphire crystal. Crown is protected by an integral arch of solid gold that overhangs it. Crown features a sapphire cabochon. The case wears quite flat on the wrist and despite its generous diameter, it is very elegant and versatile.
Movement is the automatic winding Cartier Caliber 049MC with 21 jewels and beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. This is a high grade movement.
Dial is classic Cartier – silver with radiating guilloche pattern, while the minutes chapter and roman numerals are set onto a smoothly finished surface with perfectly blued sword hands. Date window at 3 o’clock.
Bracelet is solid 18k rose gold with very solidly built double deployant clasp. Bracelet is full length and will fit up to an 8 inch wrist.
Watch is new with box and papers. US Retail price is $30,100.
