Description
This is a very clean and 100% original vintage Rolex Oyster Cosmograph Daytona chronograph in stainless steel with Rolex Oyster bracelet. There are many Daytona imitators, but the original is and always will be King of the sports watch Kingdom.
Original stainless steel case measures 38mm in diameter by 14mm thick. The case edges are very crisp and the entire case is pristine. Lugs are full metal and symmetrical, which leads me to conclude that this case has never been polished. Screw down chronograph pushers and screw down crown operating perfectly. Acrylic crystal is in perfect condition.
Original bezel has “Units per Hour” scale from ‘50’ to ‘200’ on the scale.
Serial number 6392XXX dates production to 1979/1980.
Original movement is the manual winding Rolex Caliber 727 with 17 jewels. This is a column wheel chronograph construction. Movement is pristine and operating perfectly. Chronograph resets to zero crisply and accurately.
Original dial is really nice! Silver color with applied hour markers, black contrasting subdials, and with “DAYTONA” printed in red. Hands are also original.
Bracelet is a Rolex Oyster reference 78350 with 12 links.
This watch is 100% original and CLEAN, Condition is mint plus.
