Description
Wow, this is a gorgeous vintage Patek Philippe chronograph. The 18k rose gold case is a rarity, and the case on this watch is in exquisite condition – easily mint+, super clean. The rose colored Pulsations dial is similarly clean and mint and RARE! This is a very special and important vintage Patek Philippe wristwatch.
The 18k rose gold case measures 33.2mm diameter by 11.2mm thick. The crystal is domed acrylic. The case back is snap on, and solid 18k rose gold. The chronograph pushers are rectangular and the original crown is solid 18k rose gold. The hallmark on the lower crown side lug is very crisp.
Dial is 100% original and untouched. Color is rose with applied rose gold hour markers and roman numerals ‘XII” and ‘VI’. The subdials are sunken, and both have their respective scales – a seconds chapter for the running seconds in the 9 o’clock subdial and a minutes chapter for the chronograph minutes totalizer in the 3 o’clock subdial. The main dial has a seconds chapter. At the periphery of the dial is the ‘Pulsations’ scale, which is extremely rare. This is a gorgeous watch dial.
Movement is the manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 13’’’ with 23 jewels and adjusted to 8 positions. The movement features column wheel construction for the chronograph and swan’s neck regulator for the balance. Movement is pristine and running great.
Strap is a modern black Patek Philippe crocodile with gold plated Patek Philippe tang clasp.
Watch is circa late 1940s. This is a fantastic, beautiful and highly collectable vintage Patek Philippe chronograph.
