The Franck Muller reference 7000 chronograph in a 38mm solid 18k gold case is a remarkably beautiful watch. The winner of this watch is going to have a big smile on their face, when they open the box and see this looking back at them.
Case is solid 18k yellow gold with dimensions of 38mm diameter by 13.5mm thick. Domed sapphire crystal. This is a massive case, with large teardrop lugs with gold screws securing the strap. Caseback is engraved and this is watch number 1X of the small production run of these chronographs.
Movement is the Franck Muller automatic winding Caliber 7000 with 25 jewels, 42 hour power reserve. Patented Franck Muller escapement.
The dial is very nice. The outermost area of the dial is silver with a minutes and seconds chapter. There is also a red Telemtre scale and a tachymetre scale swirling around the dial's center. Tritium coated arabic numerals and blued hands.
The chronograph has a 45 minute totalizer subdial at top of the dial and a 12 hour totalizer subdial at the dial's bottom. The dial has a decidedly vintage look.
Strap is a Franck Muller hand-sewn black alligator with 18k Muller tang buckle.
The reference 7000 chronograph has been discontinued for several years... this is a great opportunity to own a low number in the production. Watch is indistinguishable from new with box and papers. US Retail is $22,700.
