Description
This is an outstanding vintage Rolex Cosmograph Daytona chronograph with three color “Paul Newman” dial. In fact, this 100% original watch with box and papers is in mint++ condition – practically new old stock!
Original case is stainless steel with dimensions of 37mm diameter by 14mm thick. Case features include: screw down crown and round pump style chronograph pushers (all working properly and the chronograph resets crisply to the zero position), bezel with engraved “Units per Hour” scale ranging from ‘50’ to ‘200’ and acrylic crystal. Inside case back is marked ‘6239’.
Original manual winding Rolex chronograph Caliber 722 with 17 jewels and adjusted to three positions. This movement features column wheel construction and is in absolutely immaculate condition.
Original and untouched white “Paul Newman” dial, which is also known as an “exotic” dial. This dial also features a red and black minutes and seconds chapter at its periphery, which is why this is known as a three color dial. Contrasting black subdials, one for chronograph 30 minutes totalizer, one for chronograph 12 hour totalizer and one for constant seconds. These original dial and hands are in perfect condition.
Bracelet is the Rolex Oyster reference 78350 in stainless steel with 12 links and fold over clasp. Bracelet is in mint++ condition just like the watch.
Serial number is 1874XXX which dates production to 1967. This watch will be delivered with its original box and papers.
