ROLEX 1803 DAY-DATE DIAMOND DIAL 18K

This is anything but your typical vintage Day Date President reference 1803. For one thing, the watch is fitted with an original and period correct 18k riveted Oyster bracelet (which could have been fitted at the original owner’s request). And, the original untouched Rolex factory diamond dial and original hands inlaid with onyx are a super rare combination. I have seen literally, no exaggeration, thousand of diamond dials over the years – and I have to say that this one “pops”. The diamonds look fabulous on the champagne color “pie pan” dial. The dial is radial brush finished, and it along with the rest of the watch is in mint++ condition.

This is a gorgeous and all original reference 1803 vintage Day Date. I’m in love with it myself, for crying out loud!

Original solid 18k gold case measures 35.5mm diameter by 13mm thick. Crystal is acrylic. Screw down crown operating perfectly. Case condition is extremely nice. The edges are sharp and the lugs fat and uniform. The fluted bezel, which so often tells the real story of how the watch has weathered the years, is pristine and fat.

Movement is the Rolex automatically winding Caliber 1555. The caliber 15XX movements, in my opinion and experience, are the most accurate and dependable large series automatic movements ever produced.

The 18k riveted Oyster bracelet is also in mint++ condition and has 13 links and will fit up to an 8.5 inch wrist.

If you like this watch, be a little impulsive and just get it. It’s in the top few most beautiful vintage Day Dates that I have seen.
