Description
This one of a kind watch is beyond spectacular… talk about wrist presence… the entire top surface of this watch is covered in Audemars Piguet factory set diamonds…. and if you have seen a Royal Oak Offshore chronograph, you already know that this is a massive watch. Wow, it’s hard to get over how nice this watch is, once you see it in person.
The 18k white gold case and bracelet are inset with a combination of round stones, which are used in the pave surfaces of the watch case and on all bracelet links, and baguette cut diamonds inset into the octagonal 18k white gold bezel. It wouldn’t be right to leave the dial unadorned, so AP stepped up with baguette diamond hour markers. It also wouldn’t be right for a Royal Oak not to display its signature (and functional) bezel screws (also 18k gold), and AP worked the baguette diamonds around the exposed bezel screws.
The case is 44mm in diameter by 17mm thick. The crystal is sapphire. The octagonal crown screws down. The bezel has a rubber gasket underneath it, and the crown and chronograph pushers are coated in Kevlar for added durability. The Royal Oak Offshore is the last word in sports watches, and these are traditional Offshore characteristics.
The dial is silvery white with Clous de Paris decoration. There is a subdial for 30 minute and 12 hour chronograph totalizers, as well as running seconds. The hands are luminous and the date appears at 3 o’clock.
Caliber is automatic winding AP # 2226/2840 with 51 jewels, power reserve of 40 hours.
