Description
The Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpa XL has a sculpted appearance, and indeed the Parmigiani Kalpa watch case is a proprietary shape, which is best described as a tonneau shape with oversized claw lugs.
The stainless steel is mirror polished and the case is massive. This watch features a massive bracelet as well, with extra links, that will fit up to a 9 inch wrist. The dial is a special low production version too, with light blue exterior, inner silver area with guilloche and the PARMIGIANI FLEURIER in a blue oval in the midst of the silver area. It’s a great looking watch, especially for the summer.
The Kalpa XL case is polished stainless steel, and as mentioned is a tonneau shape with huge claw style lugs, with dimensions of 51mm long (44.5mm excluding the lugs) by 36.5mm wide. Formed sapphire crystal in the front and round sapphire display crystal in the case back. Case back is screwed down with six screws.
Dial is silver in the center with barleycorn guilloche and applied white gold ‘12’, ‘3’ and ‘9’, printed black hour markers and minutes chapter, white gold alpha style hands with black inlay, and date window at the bottom. The outer area of the dial is bright light blue.
Movement is the automatic winding Parmigiani Caliber 331 with 32 jewels, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and twin spring barrels. Power reserve is 55 hours.
Bracelet is the impressive and massive Parmigiani solid link in steel with double deployant clasp and will comfortably fit up to a 9 inch wrist.
