Description
The Pasha came into existence when the Pasha of Marrakech, an avid swimmer, asked his friend Louis Cartier to make him a watch that he could swim with.
Cartier reflected on the problem, and designed the Pasha, which is renowned for its crown with cap and chain system. The crown that you can see is really a cap with a sapphire cabochon, attached to a chain link and an anchor, which protects the smaller crown underneath.
Case is stainless steel with solid 18k gold diver’s count up timing bezel. Case dimensions are 38mm diameter by 11mm thick. The crystals, front and display back, are sapphire. The crown and round pump style chronograph pushers have a blue sapphire cabochon. The case sides are brush finished, while the bezel is mirror polished.
Dial is silver with guilloche, applied luminous hour markers with gold rings, luminous hands and date window at 6 o’clock. The subdials are sunken, for a very nice effect. The 9 o’clock subdial is the chronograph’s 12 hour totalizer. The 3 o’clock subdial is the 30 minute totalizer. The running seconds are at 6 o’clock.
Movement is the automatic winding Cartier chronograph Caliber 205 with 37 jewels. The watch is running great and keeping perfect time.
The movement is decorated with a distinctive Cartier pattern. Caliber features column wheel chronograph construction. This is a high end mechanical movement.
Strap is medium to light brown Cartier crocodile strap with steel Cartier deployant clasp and will comfortably fit up to an 8.75 inch wrist.
