Jaeger LeCoultre (JLC) is the quiet giant of the elite Swiss watch manufacturers. The JLC model line is vast, and every watch features an in-house caliber and manufacture watchcase. The Reverso model is their most famous, and one of the all-time great watch models. The only reason that people do not put Jaeger LeCoultre and, say Patek Philippe, on the same level is that JLC prices their watches quite a bit lower than the other hallowed Swiss brands... leading most to conclude that the watches are somehow a step down from the Swiss Haute Horology brands. It's not true; Jaeger LeCoultre turns out many of most nicely designed and engineered watches from any manufacture.

This is the limited edition of 500 watches Reverso Septantieme in 18k rose gold with eight day power reserve, sun and moon (day and night) display, subsidiary seconds and big date. This model was made in 2004 to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Reverso. Among other impressive features of this watch, the manual winding JLC Caliber 879 is made of 18k rose gold and features a double barrel construction to provide the 8 day power reserve, 224 individual parts in the movement (50 individual parts go into the case alone) and a larger than ever before 18k rose gold case with dimensions of 38mm long (51.5 if you include the brancard) by 35mm wide by 17.4mm thick. Front and caseback feature sapphire crystals and the silver dial features hand-cut engine turning and the patented big date.

Strap is a rich brown JLC alligator with 18k rose gold JLC deployant clasp. JLC model number is 300.24.20.

The original US Retail price of this watch was $46,800 and is now completely sold out and difficult to find. This watch is like new with box and papers.
