Description
Here is a vintage Rolex Submariner reference 1680 with serial number 5355XXX with box and punched papers. Both the serial number and the papers date production and original retail sales date of 1978 (November 1st to be exact).
Original stainless steel case is 39.5mm diameter by 15.4mm thick. The original bezel turns in both directions (as it should) and its serrated edge is still factory sharp. The crystal is the top hat acrylic which gives the 1680 its unique profile. The case itself has its full metal, with fat lugs, and is in mint condition. Original TripLock crown operates as it should.
Original black dial is in mint+ condition with no flaws whatsoever. The luminous on the hour markers has a light, uniform patina. The hands are original but have been re-lumed. The dial is untouched.
Movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels, adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. The movement is very clean and running strong.
Bracelet is Rolex Oyster 93150 with 12 links and is in very good condition.
This vintage Submariner will be delivered with Rolex box and original punch papers. |
