Description
Shaquille O’Neal is bigger than life, and if he were ever going to put his name on a watch it would have to be a Royal Oak Offshore chronograph from Audemars Piguet. And voila! A bigger than life watch with none other than Shaquille’s figure engraved on the case back dunking a basketball and his famous number 32 in red on the dial. Note how the ‘3’ and ‘2’ are reversed in their positions on the dial as a nod to big ole’ Shaq.
The stainless steel watch case is a whopping 46mm in diameter by 15.2mm thick. The crystal is sapphire. The crown is octagonal and the square chronograph pushers have an engraved pattern on their surface for tactile ease of use. The Royal Oak is famous, of course, for its octagonal bezel and the bezel on this watch is brush finished. The structural and exposed screws visible on the front of the bezel are 18k white gold with polished heads.
The black dial has a “mega tapisserie” pattern engraved, and also features luminous Arabic numerals and hands. There is a subdial for chronograph minutes totalizer, chronograph hours totalizer, and running seconds. There is also a date display at 3 o’clock.
Automatically winding Audemars Piguet chronograph caliber 3126/3840 with 54 jewels and balance adjusted to temperature and in 5 positions. The winding rotor is 21k gold for increased mass and winding efficiency.
Strap is black crocodile with exposed red stitching and huge steel buckle. This watch is AP model number 26133ST and is a limited edition of 960 pieces. This is watch number 07X. The watch is in excellent condition with box and papers.
