Description
Vintage Cosmograph Daytona chronographs are the cat’s meow. Gold Daytonas are the Chesire Cat’s meow. This model 6241 dates to 1966. It’s rare black dial looks great against the gold. I can’t think of a more desirable vintage Rolex, whose price tendency is decidedly up.
Original 14k gold case with round pump style chronograph pushers and original screw down crown. Original solid gold bezel is in excellent condition despite being out of round at 9 o’clock where there is also a scuff. Crystal is plastic. Case condition is near mint.
Original untouched black dial with applied golden hour markers and original golden baton hands. Sunken contrasting gold color subdials with concentric guilloche and original black hands. Dial and hands are in mint+ condition.
Original manual winding Rolex Caliber 722 with 17 jewels and adjusted in 3 positions. Movement features column wheel construction. Condition is immaculate and running great.
Strap is new rustic leather with gold Rolex buckle.
