Description
One thing I have noticed lately is that vintage Daytonas in gold are becoming rare. As recently as two years ago, we saw 4 stainless steel vintage Daytonas for each gold one. Today, the ratio is easily 10 to 1. We’d love to buy more gold Daytonas, so if you have one please call.
In the meantime, because buying and selling watches is what we do, we are selling this: our last gold 6265 on bracelet. I write these descriptions, but I have to say words aren’t adequate to relate just how beautiful these vintage gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona’s are in the metal.
Original solid 18k gold Oyster case measures 37.5mm diameter by 13.3mm thick. Original plastic crystal is clean, as is the original 18k gold bezel which retains its sharp factory edge. Original screw down crown and chronograph pushers work perfectly. Case has sharp edges and full lungs and is in mint condition.
Original untouched black dial has applied golden hour markers, original hands and contrasting gold subdials with concentric guilloche. Dial is in mint condition.
Original manual winding Rolex Caliber 727 with 17 jewels and adjusted to three positions and temperature. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer and has column wheel construction. Movement is running great and is perfectly clean.
Bracelet is 18k gold Rolex riveted Oyster with 12 links, in near mint condition. Actually, the bracelet would be mint condition except for some surface noise, since it has on negligible stretch.
This is a really nice, clean, mint and 100% original and beautiful vintage Rolex Cosmograph Daytona.
