Description
This is a rare Rolex vintage Chronometre model 3625 in solid 18k rose gold from the mid 1940s. Just a nice, simple, elegant wristwatch in all original condition.
Original 18k rose gold case has a generously domed plastic crystal as well as a domed rose gold case back. Lugs slope down. Unsigned, domed and knurled original rose gold crown. Serial number 253XXX dates production to the 1940s. Inside case back has “ROLEX 31 VICTOIRES DE HAUTE PRECISION GENEVE SUISSE”.
Original untouched silver dial now has a patina throughout. Original applied hour markers and long original rose gold leaf style hands. The Rolex crown is applied rose gold. Arabic ‘12’ and ‘6’ are applied. Subsidiary seconds dial.
Original manual winding Rolex movement with “Patented Superbalance” and 17 jewels. Movement winds and runs smoothly and is very clean.
Watch will be delivered on leather strap with gold tone Rolex buckle.
