Description
Here is an early 1960s Patek Philippe watch with very rare formed lugs case in stainless steel. The original untouched dial is also interesting because it has engraved hour markers which are in the dial versus hour markers that are applied to or printed on the dial.
Original stainless steel case measures 34.5mm diameter by 41.2mm long (lug tip to lug tip) by 8mm thick. The case back is a screw back. Acrylic crystal. The highlight of this mint condition case is the formed lugs and that the case is stainless steel (very rare and desirable for a vintage Patek Philippe). Case features three part construction and signed Patek crown.
Original dial is egg shell white with engraved hour markers which have silver paint inside. Original blackened baton hands and subsidiary seconds dial also with original blackened hand.
Original movement is the manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 12-400 with 18 jewels; adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and in 5 positions; double stamped with the Geneva Seal.
Strap is brown lizard with steel Patek buckle.
Production of the reference 3418 began in 1958 and this watch dates to approximately 1961. It is a very interesting, unusual and collectable vintage Patek Philippe wristwatch.
