Description

Every now and then we come across an oversized Patek from the 1950s. This reference 1569 Calatrava in 18k gold is such a watch at 36mm diameter.

Original 18k gold case features large teardrop shaped downward slanting lugs, domed acrylic crystal, 18k gold snap back case, and polished tiered case. The construction of the case gives this watch excellent visual depth. Again, width is an oversized 36mm diameter and the case is 8.7mm thick.

Original dial is two-tone silver with applied golden hour markers and arabic numerals (3-9-12), original golden baton hands, minutes chapter around edge of the dial and subsidiary seconds dial. Dial has signs of age around its edges but is clean and 100% original and untouched.

Original manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 12’’’-120 with 18 jewels, blued Breguet balance spring and swan neck regulator. Movement is clean and running great.

Strap is brown alligator with generic gold plated buckle.
