Description
Here is a desirable limited edition Panerai Regatta made in only 500 watches and only in 2005. Made under the “Luminor” model lineup, this watch features the famous cushion case with patented crown protection system. The sapphire crystal is massive as is the screw down steel back, which is emblazoned with ‘CLASSIC YACHTS CHALLENGE 2005’ and ‘OCEAN CHRONOMETER AUTOMATIC’ along with the other standard Panerai markings like the serial number, limited edition number (H43X/500), Firenze 1860, etc. Stainless steel case measures a robust 44mm wide (not including the crown system) by 16.2mm thick. The entire case is brush finished. Water resistant to 300 meters.
Dial is black with waffle pattern throughout. Hour markers are applied, hands are skeletonized, and both are filled with Luminova. Subsidiary seconds dial at 9 o’clock. Power reserve indicator above 5 o’clock. Date display at 3 o’clock. Dial is marked “LUMINOR PANERAI REGATTA”.
Movement is the C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer automatic winding Panerai Caliber OP IX with 21 jewels, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, 42 hour power reserve and bridges and rotor decorated with “PANERAI”.
This limited edition Panerai is on its black calf leather strap with Panerai folding deployant clasp. Panerai pearwood box and Luminor Marina booklet and Panerai screw driver is included.
