Description
This acrylic crystal GMT Master 16753 is new after all these years. It’s literally new, perfect, remarkable. It’s interesting the emotional impact that an old object that is still new makes on us. It is instantly obvious and exciting when you sit in a new car. It’s 100 times more exciting to sit in a vintage car that has never been driven or seen the light of day. That is how it is with this 1988 R serial Rolex GMT Master.
Stainless steel and 18k gold case measures 39.6mm in diameter by 13.2mm thick. Crystal is acrylic. The original bezel is solid 18k gold and has the original black insert. The original crown is also 18k gold. The case edges are sharp in that way that only new Rolex cases have. There is not a single trace of wear or any mark whatsoever on this case.
Original black dial is perfect, with date window at 3 o’clock.
Movement is the Rolex automatic Caliber 3075 with quick-set date. Movement is running strong.
Watch is on original, still new with zero stretch, full-length steel and 18k Jubilee bracelet.
