Description
For your consideration is another stunning vintage Omega Seamaster chronograph from circa 1971-1973. This Omega features a gold plated cushion shaped case with the original finish and appears to never have been polished. Bracelet is original to the watch and in equally untouched condition. Overall condition is near mint.
The gold plated cushion shaped case features a stainless steel back with a crisp Seamaster logo and horse, and measures 39mm wide by 41.7mm long by 16mm thick. The original crown and round pump style chronograph pushers are working perfectly and the acrylic crystal is in excellent condition.
Original dial is gold color with red tachymeter scale, applied hour markers with black enamel inlaid, golden hands with both inlaid luminous and inlaid black enamel (I've never seen that before!), and date at 3 o'clock. The chronograph records elapsed time for the seconds and minutes on the centrally mounted hands (the hand with the airplane figure at the tip is for minutes) and up to 12 hours in the subdial above 6 o'clock. The subdial near 9 o'clock displays constant seconds and 24 hour time.
Movement is the automatic winding Omega Caliber 1040 with 22 jewels, which is a Lemania base caliber.
Bracelet is original to the watch and will fit up to a 7 inch wrist. |
