Description
What better way to celebrate the Bicentennial than to buy a solid gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona? None, actually. I was 12 years old and wearing a watch with a quarterback whose arm moved back and forth, which I was thrilled with. Looking back, I should have opted for the Daytona.
Original solid 18k gold case with original solid gold bezel with black Units per Hour insert in clean condition. Original screw down crown and screw down chronograph pushers all working perfectly. Domed plastic crystal. Case is in near mint condition.
Original untouched black dial with applied golden hour markers and original golden baton hands with inset luminous. Sunken, contrasting gold subdials with concentric guilloche and original black subdial hands. Dial is in mint, perfect condition. The gold on black looks marvelous.
Original manual winding Rolex Caliber 727 with 17 jewels and adjusted in 3 positions. Movement features column wheel construction and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. Movement is in perfect condition.
Watch will be delivered on new rustic leather strap with Rolex buckle.
