Description
This is a very cool and for the time it was produced – 1949 to 1950 – a very large watch. Solid 18k gold case has art deco lugs, a beautiful Vacheron movement and classical dial.
Original solid 18k gold case measures an impressive 42mm long by 36mm wide by 9.3mm thick. Large domed acrylic crystal. Very large solid 18k snap back.
Original untouched champagne dial with applied golden pyramid hour markers, original golden baton hands and subsidiary seconds dial.
Original Manufacturer Caliber P453/3B has 17 jewels, beryllium balance with timing screws adjusted to “Temperatures” as the movement shows and a swan’s neck regulator. This is a very impressive movement and is running fine. By the way, the inside case back shows that the same watchmaker serviced this movement numerous times starting in June 1952 and continuing through 1978. How cool is that?
