Description
Breitling produced this watch in a limited edition of only 25 watches. Our watch is in new condition. Solid 18k white gold case and bracelet, with Breitling factory diamonds literally everywhere except the top of the buttons, clasp and the inside surfaces of the watch that contact the wearer’s wrist. Each link is comprised of three parts, and all three parts of every link are set with diamonds.
Case and bracelet are very robust and are solid 18k white gold. Case measures 43.5mm diameter by 16.2mm thick. Bracelet is full-length and will fit up to an 8.25 inch wrist. Case top, bracelet end-links, case sides and bezel are all generously set with diamonds. Sapphire crystal.
Of course, the Emergency is built for pilots or anyone who flies, who may ever face an unfortunate emergency where they need to be located and rescued. Here is Breitling’s own description taken from their website:
“Designed for pilots and aircrews, the Emergency is an instrument watch with built-in microtransmitter broadcasting on the 121.5 MHz aircraft emergency frequency. Following a crash or a forced landing, for example, the Emergency will send a signal on which rescuers can home in. The watch thus serves as a complement to the aircraft’s own distress signaling equipment. The Emergency’s transmitter is activated by unscrewing a protective cap and pulling the antenna out fully. It will then broadcast for 48 hours. Over flat terrain or calm seas, the Emergency transmitter’s signal has a range of about 160 kilometers (100 miles), assuming the search aircraft is flying at 6,000 meters (20,000 ft).”
Via the crown, the watch offers multiple functions in addition to the analog hands that show the time. Some of these functions are second timezone, day and date, and chronograph. Movement is a quartz chronometer.
Dial is mother of pearl with traditional hands for time telling. The two windows display the other functions and can also be set to be dark (turned off). There is a diamond hour marker on the edge of the dial.
This limited edition of only 25 completely diamond set Breitling Emergency watches is very, very rare. Our watch is still in new condition.
