Description
By far, the model 19068 is the hippest, coolest OysterQuartz Day Date. The original solid 18k gold bracelet with center links with raised pryamids is insanely cool. The factory Rolex diamond bezel with 44 diamonds, the original myriad diamond wood dial and the pyramid bracelet complement each other perfectly. This is easily the nicest Oysterquartz Day Date Rolex ever produced.
Original solid 18k gold case is cut from a large block of solid gold. The OysterQuartz case is very cool, with downwardly sloping case top and bottom. The integrated bracelet flows seamlessly from the case. The pyramid pattern starts on the case and continues onto and around the bracelet with invisible clasp. Crystal is sapphire. Case dimensions are 42mm long by 36mm wide by 12.5mm thick. On the OysterQuartz case, the model and serial numbers are engraved on the back of the lugs (versus between them as on other models).
Original wood dial with unusual diamond pattern, golden baton hands, full day on display below 12 o’clock and date window at 3 o’clock.
Rolex being Rolex could only make the best of breed movements for their watches, and their quartz Caliber is no exception. A jeweled quartz movement is almost unheard of, but Rolex uses 11 jewels in the movement. Further, this C.O.S.C. Chronometer movement is accurate to within a couple of seconds PER MONTH (whereas mechanical chronometers are accurate to a few seconds per day). This movement is also anti-magnetic. Rolex monitors each movement for 8 days to ensure accuracy and function. Movement is running fine.
