Here is a mint condition, never polished, 1940’s rose gold chronograph from Chronographe Suisse. The case still has both its inner and outer case backs, both of which still fit snugly which is unusual. What’s more, the serial number which is on the outside surface of the outer case back is never eroded from polishing.
Original 37mm diameter case is solid 18k rose gold with highly domed acrylic crystal, snap inner and outer case backs, and rectangular shaped chronograph pushers.
Because of the style of case with such a thin bezel, this watch is basically all dial… which is a good thing. Gold dial with black arabic numerals and minutes seconds scale. Subdials are sunken with concentric guilloche and their own chapters. One subdial is for constant seconds while the other is the chronograph totalizer dial. Hands are original and mint. The minutes and hours hands are leaf style and blackened while the chronograph hands are blued.
Original Landeron 48 manually winding 17 jewel chronograph movement, which is clean and is winding smoothly and running well.
This mint condition oversized vintage chronograph in 18k rose gold is a really nice timepiece.
