Description
Few things in the world are as beautiful as a vintage rose (or pink if you prefer) gold Day Date. Many celebrities like Jen Aniston have been photographed wearing one, and her/their usually impeccable taste is prescient. This watch features a rare dial also, and a long solid 18k rose gold bracelet.
Original solid 18k rose gold case is in mint+ condition and it’s rare to find such a mint case. Acrylic crystal. Solid 18k rose gold fluted bezel in mint condition. Original screw down crown operating perfectly. Dimensions are 36mm diameter by 12.3mm thick.
Original untouched silver dial with very unusual arabic numeral annotated minutes chapter around the dial periphery with red ‘15’, ‘30’, ‘45’ and ’60’. Applied rose gold hour markers and original rose gold baton hands. Full day on display at 12 o’clock in Portuguese and date at 3 o’clock. Dial and hands are perfect.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1555, a variant of the 15XX series movements, which to this day are some of the best ever serially produced automatic movements. Movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer and running great.
Original solid 18k rose gold President bracelet. Bracelet is super clean with moderate stretch, which is good because the bracelet will fit up to an 8.25 inch wrist and on the wrist the stretch is not observable.
This is really a great watch that should go directly onto its next owner’s wrist and never be taken off! |
