Description
You don’t see a vintage Rolex Day Date model 1802 everyday… or even every year! Very rare in its original configuration with smooth bezel (many had fluted bezels installed over the years), here it is: a mint, clean, untouched and beautiful 1802 for your consideration. It’s also a very early Day Date, manufactured in 1959.
Original solid 18k gold case with original smooth bezel, plastic crystal and screw down gold crown (working great). Dimensions are 36mm by 12mm thick. Inside case back is marked ‘1802’.
Original silver pie-pan dial with applied golden baton hour markers and golden baton hands. Dial is radially brush finished, which looks great. Full day on display along with date at 3 o’clock.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1555 with early style Rolex rotor and 25 “fine” rubies (jewels). Clean as a whistle and running fine.
This watch is a real treat. Will be delivered on new brown customer leather strap with Rolex buckle.
