Description
As fate would have it, this watch was discontinued practically as soon as it was introduced. Patek says they changed the way the watch is produced, giving rise to the replacement reference 5712. Whether the 3712 was discontinued because of production issues, or as a shrewd marketing tactic, the result is the same: this stainless steel sports watch has become a prized collector's piece. It was produced for nine months only between late 2005 and 2006.
Patek took their already popular Nautilus model, and added a moonphase display with date, subsidiary seconds and power reserve indicator, as well as creating a very attractive anthracite/charcoal dial color. This a very handsome watch.
Patek Philippe automatic caliber 240 PS with 29 jewels, micro-rotor construction, and stamped with the ultra prestigious Geneve Seal. There is a display back fitted to the case so you can see this beautiful caliber.
Case is 42mm long by 38mm across y 8.4mm thick. The Patek Philippe Nautilus was really the first luxury stainless steel sports watch, thanks to this case. Water resistant to 60 meters. Bracelet is the best in the business. The thinness of the Nautilus case, matched with its very pleasing shape, makes this watch so versatile and marked a genuine revolution in wristwatch design.
This watch is indiscernible from new with box and papers.
