Description
The Rolex Day Date reference 1803 is just a gorgeous watch. If an oil geyser erupted in my backyard tomorrow, I would set off to buy all of the 1803s remaining in the world. The rose gold, or pink gold as many call it, is the rarest 1803.
Original case is solid 18k rose gold with dimensions of 35.5mm diameter by 12.4mm thick. Crystal is acrylic. Screw down 18k crown operates perfectly and smoothly. The fluted bezel, along with the rest of the case, is clean and mint. Lugs are thick and uniform.
Original movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1556 with 26 jewels and adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. The movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. Movement is clean and running well. The day and date switch over crisply at midnight.
Early silver pie-pan dial with applied golden hour markers and original diamond hour markers, with radial brush finish.
Bracelet is original solid 18k rose gold President with stretch, in clean condition, with invisible clasp, and will fit up to an 8.25 inch.
