Description
Here is a really nice early Rolex chronograph from 1955. It’s all here: robust stainless steel case in mint condition with smooth bezel, original early hands, silver dial with three subdials and with a blue telemeter scale. Some watches pop visually, while others don’t. This watch pops in a big way!
Original stainless steel case measures 36mm diameter by 14mm thick. Tall sitting plastic crystal and screw down case back. Inside case back is engraved with ‘6234’. Serial number 130XXX dates watch to 1955. Case is mint.
Original silver dial with applied hour markers and original hands. Three subdials are sunken and with concentric guilloche. Luminous plots at the hour markers are intact.
Original Rolex Caliber 72 with manual winding, 17 jewels, adjusted in 3 positions and featuring column wheel construction. Movement is perfectly clean and running.
Strap is new custom suede with Rolex buckle.
