Description
Girard Perregaux really produces nice watches, especially chronographs. This watch was produced in 250 pieces only to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ferrari (with whom GP had a close working relationship since they had the license to produce Ferrari watches) in 1996. The F50 bears the reference number 9025.
When you stop and think about it, it is remarkable that GP could produce a perpetual calendar chronograph and offer it for sale so economically. At first, you got the watch if you bought a Ferrari F50 supercar. Later, the watch was made available through GP authorized dealers.
Case is titanium with dimensions of 40mm diameter by 14mm thick. Domed front sapphire crystal. Engraved case back with five color Ferrari logo. This is the number 23X of the 250 watches made. Round pump style chronograph pushers. The Ferrari collection watch case by Girard Perregaux is really well done and very attractive. The case lines and the massive bezel and lugs make this a masculine watch.
Dial is black with luminous hands and arabic numerals. The four subdials are sunken, traced in white gold and have concentric guilloche at their center. The 3 o'clock subdial displays moonphase and 24 hour time; 6 o'clock subdial is for days and the 12 hour chronograph totalizer; 9 o'clock subdial is months and chronograph 30 minute totalizer; 12 o'clock subdial is for constant seconds and date.
Movement is the automatic winding Girard Perregaux Caliber 3170 with 44 jewels and 42 hour power reserve.
Strap is hand sewn black GP crocodile with exposed red stitching and titanium GP deployant clasp.
Watch is like new and complete with original box and papers.
