Description
The Breitling for Bentley Flying B is, stylistically, a stunning departure from the legion of round case chronographs that have made Breitling an horological household name. This watch is from a limited edition of only 50 pieces, with an 18k white gold case and bracelet and absolutely covered in Breitling factory set diamonds. In fact, the overall carat weight of the diamonds is 11.62, and the watch is literally covered in diamonds. The 18k white gold case has an overall rectangular shape, which flares out slightly on the sides. Dimensions are 57mm long (including the lugs) by 41mm wide by 14.7mm thick. Caseback is secured by eight screws. Crystal is formed sapphire. Crown screws down. Water resistant to 100 meters. The caseback has the Bentley Flying B logo engraved along with the limited edition number.
The pave diamond dial is very nicely executed and attractive. There are so many details here: off-center time display with window for the jump hour display and polished skeleton hand indicating minutes. The hour and minutes dial and the contiguous seconds dial are surrounded in diamonds and the hour markers are also diamonds. The seconds dial has a red chapter, which is subtle but adds a nice splash of color. Please note that this is the pave diamond version of this dial, which is more expensive than the non-pave dial which is more common.
Movement is the Breitling Caliber 28 with 38 jewels, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Bracelet is solid 18k white gold with folding deployment clasp and flip-lock clasp. Links are covered in diamonds. Bracelet is full-length.
