Description
This vintage Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is clean and mint and 100% original.
Original stainless steel case is 37.5mm in diameter by 13.2mm thick. Original screw down chronograph pushers and original screw down crown, all working perfectly. Acrylic crystal. Original bezel with Units per Hour scale from ‘50’ to ‘200’.
Serial number 8617XXX dates production to 1985, which was very late in the 6265’s production run.
Original untouched silver dial with applied hour markers and contrasting black subdials with concentric guilloche. Hands are all original and the subdial hands are white so as to maximize legibility against the black subdials. “DAYTONA” is in red. Dial is in perfect condition. Luminous dots are original and intact.
Original movement is the manual winding Rolex Caliber 727 with 17 jewels and adjusted to three positions. This chronograph caliber features column wheel construction. Movement is pristine and running great.
Bracelet is Rolex Oyster and is in mint condition.
