Description
This watch received a full movement service at Rolex in late 2014.
All vintage Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watches are rare. The 6239 is the first Daytona and was made from 1963 until 1969. The vast majority of 6239 production was in stainless steel. An 18k gold 6239 is a true rarity.
Original solid 18k gold case with original bezel with sharp edge, plastic crystal, round pump style chronograph pushers, original 18k screw down crown operating perfectly and in mint condition. Dimensions are 37mm diameter by 12.5mm thick.
Original untouched black dial with applied golden indices, contrasting gold subdials, intact luminous plots and original hands – all in mint condition.
Original manual winding Rolex Caliber 722 with 17 jewels and adjusted in 3 positions. Movement is clean and running and features column wheel chronograph construction.
Watch is on new custom suede strap with Rolex buckle.
