The Day Date is Rolex’s top of the line watch. Displaying the day of the week below 12 o’clock and the date at 3 o’clock, this model became known as the President because the watch was worn by numerous American Presidents.
Produced only in 18k gold and in platinum, the Day Date over the years has worn Rolex’s nicest dials. This Tiffany & Co. Tapestry dial is absolutely sensational looking.
Original R series unpolished 18k gold case features sapphire crystal, solid gold fluted bezel, original 18k screw down crown operating perfectly and massive 18k screw back. Case is in mint, full metal condition with 36mm diameter and 12.4mm thick.
Original untouched and collectable Tiffany & Co. Tapestry dial with applied golden baton hour markers and golden baton hands. Day beneath 12 o’clock and date at 3 o’clock.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 3055 with 27 jewels and adjusted in 5 positions and to temperature. Single quick set movement is clean, running, and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Rolex President bracelet with no stretch and invisible clasp.
Condition is unpolished near mint. With a very light refinish the watch will be new, but since some collectors cherish never polished watches we will leave this decision up to the new owner.
