Description
Here is a super clean, new condition, unpolished and 100% original vintage Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “Big Red” reference 6265 with 6263 bezel. This watch really “pops” visually. It’s the nicest vintage Daytona we’ve seen in a while.
Original unpolished new condition stainless steel case measures 38mm diameter by 13.7mm thick. Crystal is plastic. Original new condition bezel is clean with sharp edges. Original screw down crown and screw down chronograph pushers all working perfectly. Case is marked 6265 but has 6263 bezel and case back is marked 6263.
Serial number 7426XXX dates production to 1982.
Original untouched black dial is particularly nice looking. Applied hour markers and hands. The sunken chronograph subdials have concentric guilloche. The word “Daytona” is in red, large font hence its name the “Big Red” dial.
Movement is the manual winding Rolex Caliber 727 with 17 jewels and is adjusted in 3 positions. Movement is immaculately clean and running great. This chronograph caliber features column wheel construction.
Bracelet is Rolex Oyster 78350 with ‘557B’ end links and is in mint condition with zero stretch. Bracelet has 12 links.
