Description
This is a haute horology piece from the venerable Breguet. The back plate is a solid piece of 18k white gold and is hand engraved. This watch consolidates the best of Breguet into one outstanding timepiece.
Case is platinum and 18k rose gold with 36mm diameter and 9.5mm thick. The entire case is solid platinum except for the fluted case sides, which are 18k rose gold (which looks very nice indeed!). Sapphire crystals front and back. Straight lugs, screw bars for the straps, and fluted crown.
Dial is silver with guilloche with large tourbillon cut out at the bottom. Time is displayed on the sub dial at the top, with silver ring with black roman numerals and blued pomme hands. There is a 20 seconds retrograde seconds scale and a blued seconds wheel with three hands attached to the tourbillon wheel. The massive white gold back plate also has hand engraving on the portion that is visible around the tourbillon.
Movement is Breguet Caliber 558 with manual winding, 21 jewels, balance adjusted to 6 positions and self-compensating balance spring. The gold back plate of the watch is very impressive, with “Tourbillon Breguet”, “Brevet Du 7 Messidor An 9” and other text relating to the movement’s technical characteristics. This golden back plate is hand finished and hand decorated and beautiful.
Strap is new black crocodile with platinum Breguet tang buckle.
Watch is in like new condition with Breguet box and booklet.
