Description
Here is an early Rolex Day Date President model 1803 with ultra-rare original box and papers. Gold’s color softens to such a pleasing hue with time and this watch is Pure Mellow Goodness! Even the silver dial has a shade of champagne patina to compliment its wide golden hour markers and early original dauphine hands.
Original solid 18k gold case has a crisp solid 18k fluted bezel, full-metal lugs, screw-down crown working perfectly, plastic crystal and dimensions of 36mm diameter by 12.5mm thick. Serial number 934XXX dates production to 1963.
Original untouched silver pie-pan dial with applied wide golden hour markers, original early dauphine hands, full day on display and date at 3 o’clock. Dial is in near-mint condition.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1555 with 26 jewels and adjusted to temperature and in 5 positions. Movement is pristine, running, and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Bracelet is an early President bracelet and is quite the charmer. It has some stretch, of course, from being 50 years old, but it’s clean and will fit up to an 8 inch wrist.
It’s very rare to find a vintage 1803 with box and original papers. Watch is in mint overall condition.
