Description
Here is a mint condition vintage Rolex Cosmograph Daytona reference 6262 in stainless steel, with really nice looking untouched silver dial. The reference 6262 is hard to find. If you look closely at the black subdials, you will see spots of brown emerging. This shows that these subdials are starting to turn brown... and you know what THAT means… this dial will soon be a TROPICAL dial.
Original stainless steel case measures 37mm in diameter by 13mm thick. Rolex 6241 bezel, which was installed at a service at some time in the watch’s past. Plastic crystal. Round pump style chronograph pushers and original screw down crown all working perfectly, and the chrono resets to zero crisply and accurately. Case is mint.
Serial number 2414XXX dates production to 1970.
Original silver dial has applied hour markers and contrasting black subdials. Subdials provide running seconds, chronograph 30 minute and 12 hour totalizers. Dial is clean and mint and untouched. Original hands.
Original movement is a manual winding Rolex Caliber with 17 jewels and adjusted to three positions. This caliber has column wheel construction and is clean and running.
Watch will be delivered on strap with steel Rolex buckle.
