While the original case on this 1940’s Bubble Back is remarkable in and of itself, the original untouched black California dial is over the moon. We literally could not believe our eyes when a customer brought us this watch. We are pleased and proud to make this watch available to all collectors.
Original stainless steel Bubble Back case in extra-clean and mint condition with screw back (‘3372’ engraved on inside case back along with a service history), engine-turned bezel, domed plastic crystal and original screw down crown. Case dimensions are 33mm diameter by 13.7mm thick.
Original, untouched and truly spectacularly rare black California dial in perfect condition along with original cathedral style hands. Dial has gilt text, sunken subsidiary seconds dial and gilt railroad style minutes and seconds chapter.
Rolex Chronometer certified automatic winding caliber with super balance in clean running condition.
Watch is on modern generic steel grains of rice bracelet. If the buyer prefers to have the watch on a strap, we are happy to provide one.
