Description
Here is a vintage Rolex Explorer II orange hand "Steve McQueen" from 1973. This is an honest heart on its sleeve vintage Rolex sports watch. It has wear but it also has full lugs with original bevels, some of the luminous is a little dirty but the dial also has perfect patina. In other words, it’s not a perfect watch but it is a perfect vintage Rolex Explorer II!
Original stainless steel case measures 38mm diameter by 13mm thick. The original bezel is in excellent condition. Original screw down crown operates as it should. Serial number 3982XXX dates production of this watch to 1973.
Original untouched black dial has nice, even patina on its luminous as do the original hands. Date display at 3 o’clock.
Original movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1560 with 26 jewels, adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chromoter. Movement is clean and running and inside case back shows a service history.
Bracelet is the Rolex Oyster reference 78360 with 580 end links and is in excellent condition. Clasp is flip-lock deployant.
