Description
Here is a super-clean, all-original oversized vintage Omega chronograph from 1949 with Omega's best chronograph movement, the Caliber 33.3. Collectable values have been on a tear over the past 18 months and collectors' attention is getting focused on these oversized Omega chronographs.
Original stainless steel case is 38mm diameter by 11mm thick. Stepped bezel. Domed acrylic crystal. Round pump-style chronograph pushers and signed crown. We believe the finish on the case is the original finish. Inside case back is marked with the case serial number and '49' which indicates that the year of production is 1949.
Original silver dial with original blued hands, red spiral telemeter scale around the center pinion, two sunken subdials with their original blued hands (one for running seconds and the other the chronograph's 30 minute totalizer), arabic numerals, dart indexes and blue outer tachymetre scale. Dial is very clean.
Original Omega Caliber 33.3 manual winding movement with 17 jewels and column wheel chronograph construction. Movement is clean and running.
New red generic suede strap with steel buckle.
