The Patek Philippe Calatrava reference 570 is a perfect design. It embodies the quintessence of form following function. It is a beautiful timepiece that offers nothing more than is necessary to tell the time on a wristwatch. It’s at once subtle and sublime. The fact that this watch is oversized and 18k rose gold means that this watch was likely built for the South American market. Apparently, the Argentinians and Brazilians had more style that anyone else on the planet at the time!
Original oversized case is solid and very rare 18k rose gold with dimensions of 35mm diameter and 8mm thick. Crystal is domed acrylic. Case lines are simple and elegant.
Original silver dial is mint, untouched, and with applied rose gold index style hour markers, subsidiary seconds and original rose gold dauphine hands.
Original movement is the manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber with 18 jewels, Breguet balance spring with micrometer regulator, and is adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and in 5 positions. The movement is stamped with the Geneva Seal.
Watch is on black alligator Patek strap.
